OUR IMPACT.
OUR PARTNERS
Over the last several years, the Pasadena Unified School District has been engaged in efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion with varying degrees of success. While the individual initiatives and efforts have yielded positive results, we have struggled to embed the DEI way of thinking into our culture.
We recently began working with the consultants at Tribesy and with their guidance, we have embarked on a very intentional effort to change the way we approach the work so that every decision we make is viewed through the lens of DEI. The practical result of this work is that with these new approaches we have made key decisions that will benefit Black, Indigenous, and Students of Color more than ever before.
I have had the privilege of getting to work with Gail and Reena for over 15 years and have witnessed first-hand their impact on businesses and organizations in the areas of equity, inclusion, diversity, social justice, and organizational change. Their workshops and learning sessions are deeply rooted in experiential learning and using transformational questions to create a space for businesses and organizations to critically analyze their current systems in place. It is this type of exploration that leads to the creation of new systems that are far more effective in creating true equity within an organization. Additionally, the consultants at Tribesy are of the highest character. They truly do care and are passionate about being in action to create transformative cultural change. I HIGHLY recommend their services!!
This partnership with Tribesy has been transformative for the organization. We have implemented many of the recommendations provided to improve our internal culture and how we operate as a business. I learned new tools and language to approach this critical work. It has significantly changed the way I approach dialogue and how I approach my leadership. Tribesy has been instrumental in helping us make a cultural shift and have partnered with us to develop a roadmap to implement sustainable DEI practices.
“As City Manager of a diverse and dynamic full-service city, I was seeking a qualified and experienced consultant team to help guide our city’s Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) journey. Tribesy rose to the top as the most qualified team to help Chula Vista. Over the past 16 months of working together, they have seamlessly integrated themselves in our community after having taken the time to engage with staff across all levels and departments of our organization and the diverse community we serve. Tribesy has helped staff host ten community roundtables and focus groups and over 20 focus groups with city staff. Reena and Gail bring a special skillset to JEDI work and are able to work effectively with public safety and union leaders. Tribesy is also able to navigate the political nuances of a Council-Manager run city. They have worked to create a solid foundation for our organization’s ongoing success in implementing a JEDI lens into all we do as an organization. I look forward to seeing the dividends of this work pay off for years to come.”
When Maryland LCV first began work with the team at Tribesy, there was a sense of excitement on how we could actually make diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice a bigger part of what we do every day. We had big ideas and even bigger hopes, but we needed a path forward to bring them to life and cement them as part of our operations. Tribesy came on board not just with a plan, but with a genuine enthusiasm to get to the heart of our work and help us craft a DEIJ statement that reflected our values.
If you and your organization want to get serious about your DEIJ work, I highly recommend Tribesy. Thanks to their skills and dedication, our purpose is clearer, and we're making a real difference in ways we simply weren't before. Tribesy's expertise has helped Maryland LCV become a leader in championing a healthier, more inclusive environment for Maryland.
